Pharmaceutical Drugs

A pharmaceutical drug is also referred to as medicine, medication or medicament. Pharmaceutical drugs are natural or chemical substances intended for use in the medical diagnosis, cure, treatment, or prevention pf different kinds of diseases. Different kinds of pharmaceutical drugs are used for curing different kinds of diseases. They can be used for relieving acute pains and help in controlling mental or physical sicknesses and diseases. In pharmaceutical industry, drugs are commonly known as medicines, medications of medicaments. Today, pharmaceutical drugs are widely used for treating or curing a huge number of different diseases like cough, cold, fever, headache, body-ache, pains, viral fever, hyper tension, diabetes, HIV, tumor, heart-attach, cancer, nausea, depression, sexual sickness, depression, mental sickness, skin diseases, etc. Different kinds of pharmaceutical drugs are available such as Anti-allergic drugs, anti-infective drugs, anti-viral drugs, fertility drugs, gastrointestinal drugs, HIV drugs, hypertension drugs, metabolic drugs, pain-relief drugs, respiratory drugs, surgical drugs, cancer drugs, anti-diabetic drugs, etc.

In medical lingo, pharmaceutical finished formulations refer to the procedure in which different kinds of chemical elements and active drugs are merged to produce a final medicinal product.

A prescription drug is a licensed medicine which requires a physician’s prescription before it can be obtained. Prescription drugs are regulated by legislation which can be obtained after prescription.

Non-prescription drugs also called OTC (over-the-counter) drugs. Such kinds of drugs are sold directly to a consumer without a prescription of a health care professional, doctor, or physician .
